Description
As a landlocked country bordering five other countries, covered in an abundance of lakes and breathtaking views of the mountains – Switzerland.
As we approach the mountainous town of Interlaken, a refreshing retreat to nature stationed in a valley between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. From here, we head onto a brief voyage towards Iseltwald, famous for the clip recorded at the pier of Lake Brienz on “Crash Landing on You.”
At the “Top of Europe,” is Jungfraujoch, where you have the option to take the cableways (Eiger Express) or by railway (Jungfrau Railway). It is located in the Bernese Alps, 11,362’ above sea level, and displays the most scenic views of the Aletsch glaciers.
South is the picturesque village of Lauterbrunnen, well known as the entrance to the Jungfrau Region atop the highlands, as well as for its rocky cliffs and elevated Staubbach waterfalls. A few stops along the way is Wengen, which hosts international ski races and is one of the best choices among many to have an eagle’s eye view of the vale.
