You can leave Uganda, but the Pearl of Africa will never leave you.
You cannot leave Uganda because it will always be with you, there inside your head. Our rivers, lakes and waterfalls will always run in currents in the swirl of your thumbprints, Our drumbeats counting out your pulse, Our beautiful women and hospitable people, the silhouette of your soul. I don’t remember of a morning when I wake up and am not happy.
The only person I envy is he or she who has not yet been to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa for he has so much to look forward to. If there were one more thing I could do again and again , it would be exploring the Pearl.
You can’t say you have ever seen magic when you have never been to Uganda before.
The magic of Uganda cannot be explained. It has to be experienced.
